The Gond of Central India

Gond of Central India

Approximately 14 million Gond live in the central area of India, following a mixture of Hindu and traditional tribal religions. Many suffer from poverty and spiritual oppression. Whilst there are some Gond who are responding to the message of Jesus, the vast majority are still unreached by the gospel. Create International Perth partnered with local church leaders to produce media resources geared toward sharing the good news with the Gond in culturally appropriate ways.

Jambi Malays

The 1.1 million Jambinese Malay live primarily on Sumatra, the largest unevanglized island in the world. This Muslim Indonesian people group has very little exposure to the gospel, with only a small number of Christian workers and missionaries actively ministering amongst them. Create International Perth was privileged to travel to the city of Jambi and get to know the Jambinese as a culture and as people, and to be part of creating resources that will help them to encounter Jesus.

Maithili

Tens of millions of Maithili speakers live in India and Nepal, primarily worshipping Hindu idols. The Maithili face many social challenges, such as problems associated with the caste system, child marriage, and addiction to drugs and alcohol. Create International Perth visited the Maithili in Nepal to work with the local body of Christ to produce a film that can be used to share the gospel and encourage believers facing persecution for their faith.
